HEARTCHECK - AN AUDIENCE WITH THE KING
An Audience With the King
In a recent message by Apostle Arome in Ghana, he explained how the quickening dimension of the Spirit can be waited for. Also, he shared in the message the right waiting posture. The attitude should be, ‘Lord while I wait, I will wait with this song’.
Songs of Praise, Worship and Thanksgiving are the three things that make up for an extraordinary odour that draws down the presence of God.
Songs are one of the secret keys to accessing and dwelling in the presence of God.
For instance, if you struggle with dryness in your time of prayer, do not be confused; for the Bible teaches us to: ‘Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.’ (Ps. 100:4 NKJV)
When you sing [love] songs to the Lord, never be in a hurry to leave a song where you feel His reaction like that of a thick warm embrace - that is the Holy Ghost responding to your offer of love. It is the Lord saying, ‘I love you too’.
As your tears flow in worship, He will not stop you. Rather, He pulls you in further; and Scriptures will begin to emerge, taking new shapes, making more spiritual sense. You will truly understand what the bible meant by: ‘For God ‘so’ love the world that He gave His only begotten...’ (Jn. 3:16).
The love of the Father is one of the first things you will encounter in the place of worship. His majesty will be revealed, not as you heard it, but from a spiritual reality!
Sometimes, we need to discern the songs that can connect us and the Lord. I mean, you may have ‘that song’, ‘our song’.
The time has come when we worship God not only because we love the song (John 4:23) but because that is ‘our’ (me and the Holy Ghost) song. That song has a story. It has life. That song has been trapped like an altar, so when you sing it, the Lord knows it is you.
Agreed, you may enjoy other songs but when you sing ‘your song’, everywhere opens up boom! Now that you know, you want to be deliberate and conscious about them.
What is your attire when you go visiting the King? What is your perfume? What is your song, that ointment, that when you sing, it comes from a place of encounter and the Lord can say; Open up! That is Haddasah!
Having known this, whenever you have an audience with the King, appear before Him with ‘our song’.
