 Kingdom Service: What It Is and What It is Not When we think about the subject of Kingdom Service - serving God and actively pursuing His cause - does a slave-master story like that of Cinderella come to mind? Do we have flickers of whips, wires, belts, chains, rods and canes? Perhaps a master standing before his slaves taking roll call. Like Cinderella, do we perform our services out of duty? Are we big on actions but fall short at heart?  Are we dutiful but out of love with the One and the ones we serve? Dear believer, kingdom service has never been anything like the Cinderella story. It has nothing to do with the slave-master story either. Kingdom service is not something we do to score marks with men and God.  The Tenets of Divine Secrets The intention of God for every believer is such that we have access to the divine secrets that have been kept and locked for (not from) us from the foundations of the world. “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” - Deut. 29:29, KJV For these secrets to be revealed and unveiled, Jesus happens to be the Source and Revealer of every disclosure any believer can come into. He is the One that sponsors every revelation through the office of the Holy Spirit. Every time God sponsors these divine secrets and revelations, the scope is much more transgenerational; and every time God speaks/encounters any man, He does so with generations in view with the goal that the impending generation will be able to observe and do what has been handed over to them.  The Pull The most important posture of our lives is our praying posture. We cannot in any way make a difference and/or meaning in life more than our Maker wants us to as He holds the master design for our lives and the only way to make meaning in life is to connect to Him. 'But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.' Luke 10:42, KJV Jesus said to Martha that not too many things are necessary, but one thing is very important and Mary had chosen it and that happens to be the better part.  In life, what counts are few. We are too engaged in frivolities as humans and concerned about many things. May the Lord grant us the wisdom to be selective about our life's pursuit even as we tune our hearts to what matters.   An Audience With the King In a recent message by Apostle Arome in Ghana, he explained how the quickening dimension of the Spirit can be waited for. Also, he shared in the message the right waiting posture. The attitude should be, ‘Lord while I wait, I will wait with this song’.  Songs of Praise, Worship and Thanksgiving are the three things that make up for an extraordinary odour that draws down the presence of God.  Songs are one of the secret keys to accessing and dwelling in the presence of God.  For instance, if you struggle with dryness in your time of prayer, do not be confused; for the Bible teaches us to: ‘Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise.
